Banksia pods need fire to regenerate, to encourage new growth and disperse their seeds across Country. These earrings speak to the importance of cultural land management, caring for Country and passing this knowledge on to continue generating new beginnings and life. 

The banksia reminds me of my sisters and I, how we come together, how we grow together. These earrings represent the connection between our family and our kin, our sisters and tiddas, but also the connection we share with the plants of Country, the plants that need our care in order to thrive.
